Amsterdam Science Trip

MEF IS Ist’b Secondary School students from Grades 7, 8 and 9 went to Amsterdam to extend their learning in science by visiting several science museums and exploring the rich scientific history of the Netherlands. Our first stop was a human body museum called Corpus, where we went on a journey through the body starting in the leg muscles and ending in the brain. At the NEMO Science center, we conducted experiments and learned about how things work. We visited Micropia, the world’s only museum of microscopic life, and then we saw macroscopic life at the Amsterdam zoo. In addition to science, students learned about the culture, art and history of the Netherlands by visiting the Rijksmuseum, tasting delicious food, and cruising through the canals and streets of Amsterdam.
